Frederick EVE
FREDERICK EVE was born in May 1886 and baptised in the Parish Church, Great Waltham on the 6th June 1886. He was the eighth child and fourth son of Walter and Alice Eve (née Emberson) who were married on the 25th February 1876 in the village church. Walter was a Labourer and the family lived at Peach Cottage, Broads Green.
PERCY EVE was born in 1895 at Broads Green, Great Waltham. He was the eleventh child and seventh son of Walter and Alice Eve (née Emberson) who were married on the 25th February 1876 in the village church. Walter was a Labourer and the family lived at Peach Cottage, Broads Green.
Wilson N EVE
WILSON NEWENHAM EVE was born in 1894 in Great Waltham, the son of David and Eliza Ann Eve (née Cockerton). He was baptised in the Parish Church on the 7th October 1894. His parents were married on the 20th June 1885 in the Parish Church, Great Waltham. Eliza was a Servant and David was a Labourer. Both David and Eliza probably knew each other since childhood as their families were neighbours living in Broads Green.
Charles GREGORY
CHARLES GREGORY is one of only two soldiers named on the Great Waltham War Memorial who were not born in Essex. He was born in 1896 in Southampton, Hampshire, the youngest son of George and Margaret Jane Gregory (née Wallis). His parents were married in 1884 in Southampton. His father was born in Downton, Wiltshire and his mother came originally from St Erthin, south Cornwall.
